Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has nice of a Thanksgiving as we did. The past few years we have started a new tradition of going away for Thanksgiving, but this year with Steve's work schedule it wasn't possible. We had Thanksgiving at home for the first time in many years.  I have to say I much prefer the going away tradition but having it at home was nice also! The day was very relaxing and we were surrounded by great friends and family.

After laying in bed with the kids and watching the parade we headed to my moms to enjoy our feast!

As I was cleaning the kitchen I heard Makayla talking but in a very low voice. I went to check on her only to find her gazing at the Christmas tree. I asked her who she was talking to…"I'm just telling God how thankful I am for our beautiful Christmas trees and how much I love my family"

You know those days when you think you can't do anything right? Days like this make you realize your doing something right! I love this sweet girl and who she is becoming. Christmas truly is her favorite time of year! Not because of gift, but because of the true meaning, family, spirit, and thankfulness.  I love it!

Happy 7th Birthday Jakob! We had a blast celebrating with you. We are so sad you guys are moving we are going to miss you all so much. You have been amazing neighbors the past 6 years. We are so sad to see you go but happy for your new adventure! Glad we were able to spend this day with you celebrating!

Fun in the November Florida sun!

While our friends and family up north are bundled up in cute jackets playing in the cool fall weather we spent the day at the park enjoying the warm Florida sun. Steve and Makayla had the day off so what better way to spend it then lunch outside by the water and an afternoon at the park. 

Wall Springs Park is a hidden park in Palm Harbor that I happen to LOVE. It's clean, covered, and rarely busy. They have a split playground for big and little kids! It is by far my favorite park in the area!

I do want to know why my kids are growing up so fast. It makes me sad to think how independent  they have become and proud to see how friendly and happy they are also!

The other great thing about Wall Springs is the bridges, and trails within the park. We love walking over to the look out bridge and watching the fish. This is also the home to one of the oldest springs in history. When it was first purchased in 1884, it was used as a spa and bathing area until the 1960's. I love all the history that surrounds this area.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

My sister had us over for dinner and decorating her tree this weekend. Yes I know it's a bit early but she loves her tree and was ready to put it up, so was Makayla! She gets so excited to put up the trees and decorate. Jenn made us a wonderful dinner of cheeses, and dips, and little appetizers, my favorite kind of meal! The kids were so excited to help her decorate her tree!

Putting her organizing and sorting skills to good use! Sadly she enjoyed this and did a great job organizing the tupperware cabinet. I am thankful for this! 

Day at Downtown Disney

It's not often that Steve has a day off, but this beautiful Sunday he was off and we wanted to do something FUN! We turned the clocks back the night before so we felt as though we had gained an extra hour in our day. My not so spontaneous husband said "Let's go to Downtown Disney" so we did!
We started the day off at T-rex a fun interactive restaurant with dinosaurs and other animals that move and every 15 min there is an ice storm in the Ice Cave! We started off inside the icecave but had to move. It was a little to overwhelming for Jackson. They nicely moved us to the Ocean room where everyone was much happier.
The restaurant was blast, the kids enjoyed walking around and seeing all there is to look at. Plus the food is really good here.

After lunch we walked around and enjoyed the sights and people watching in Downtown Disney. The weather was great, the kids were happy, and we were able to enjoy a very fun and relaxing day…something we all needed.

Jackson LOVES trains! He did not want to get off he said wow and whoa at every turn. I love seeing his excitement as he is experiencing things for the first time!

We tried to get some pictures for a Christmas card but sadly that did not happen, we could not get everyone to look at the camera and smile at the same time. We may need to get professional photographs taken just to get a good one! However we did get these fun shots
