Christmas morning 2013

Christmas morning was so wonderful this year, our kids slept in until 8:30!!! Then woke up with pure excitement chanting Santa came Santa came. We all ran into the living room to find a room full of gifts from the big guy! The kids opened all their Santa gift, we toasted with mimosa's, baked Kris's homemade cinnamon rolls, opened the gifts from each other and the rest of our family, Facetimed with my dad so he could see the kids open his gifts, stayed in our pajamas most of the day, played with the kids toys and our new grown up gifts, enjoyed a christmas meal of different kinds of seafood. It was the most relaxing, fun, and exciting christmas we have ever had! We actually enjoyed it so much we didn't want it to end so we ended up staying another night at my moms!!! The kids loved it and truthfully so did I.
I know this picture is blurry but look at her excitement
Checking out her gifts!
He really wasn't sure what all this meant

Oh I love this girl! So excited over a scarf and sunglasses!

This is one of my favorite photos. Helping each other open a gift!
This year Makayla got to "shop" at the holiday store at school. She earned money to buy everyone a gift.  All of her gifts we so meaningful and special. She was most excited about the screwdriver set she bought for Steve that said DAD!!! I love how much she loves to give!
Our anual Christmas morning mimosa toast photo! No one ever looks pretty or well dressed but these are always my favorite photos!!!
Jackson found our seafood feast less then appealing so he decided it was nap time! and yes both of my kids are still in their pajamas at 4:00 in the afternoon! Hey it's christmas, I only changed out of mine because I didn't want to get them dirty as soon as dinner was over they went right back on!
I can only hope everyone reading this had as blessed of a holiday as we did! Enjoy your last few day of 2013 new changes and challenges are right around the corner!

Christmas eve

My mom held her annual Christmas eve open house again this year! I am so thankful for this evening. Most of our closets friends and family join us at my moms for way to much food, some good drinks, and a ton of family fun and togetherness. The kids exchange gifts and "party". We always have a good time and the kids love it. My mom gives them all matching Christmas pjs, and they cannot wait to change into them! As crazy and hectic as this last month has been, the joy and excitement brought on by all these kids will never get old.  I can honestly say I am glad the season it's self is coming to and end, but I hope 2014 is as good to us as 2013 has been!

Getting all 6 of these kiddos to look was no easy task, but I think  I did ok!

We were so blessed this year to be surrounded by so many friends and family throughout the year. I am so thankful for my family. Life is not always rainbows and sunshine, times get tough and life sucks sometimes, but I know I have my family, and dear friends and that makes it all ok….more then OK it makes life worth living! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

North Pole Breakfast

Our Elves have done it again! For the past few years on a Sunday morning right before Christmas Santa sends Freddie and Felicia with a morning feast full of sugar and fun for our family! This year was no different! Freddie and Felicia decorated with snow flakes and a theme of red and green! They brought us fun new plates and all the fixings for a delicious breakfast. Snow covered doughnuts, chocolate chip pancake mix, reindeer noses, fruit and yogurt parfaits, and lots of other treats and goodies.
I love seeing Makayla's and now Jackson face when they first see the North Pole breakfast all set up, it's almost as good as Christmas morning itself!

I believe they enjoyed some hot coco and doughnuts as they set it all up for us!

They left this pretty ribbon and magnet on the fridge since most of our ingredients were inside

Pancakes, sausage, Orange juice, we also had eggs and cheese!
Breakfast was enjoyed by all

My loves!
He was mad because he couldn't have a snowy doughnut!

I love this tradition the elves have started for us. It is such a fun time to spend with just the four of us during this time of year. We eat, we talk, we laugh, really we SLOW DOWN and take a moment to enjoy something as simple as breakfast. These are some of my favorite memories!!!!

Welcome Callee Rae

After a surprise blessing and a very long 9 months my best friend welcomed her first baby girl into the world today! At 4:37 Callee Rae joined the world weighting in at 8lbs 4oz and 20" long. She is beautiful and healthy. Her 3 brothers Cooper, Cason, and Colton are over the moon about her! She is perfect and precious and I am so happy to be a part of her life. We are going to cover her pink and glitter and love her until she can't stand us anymore!
Welcome Callee Rae!!!

look at that sweet face!
This is the day after she was born. I could not wait to get my hands on that sweet girl!
Her first selfie! Don't worry there will be many more to come!
